BUILDING A GOOD FOUNDATION IN ALGEBRA 2
Algebra is popularly known
as a branch of mathematics in which symbols, usually letters of the
alphabet, represent numbers and are used to represent quantities and
to express general relationships that hold for all members of the
set.
It is pertinent knowledge
that for many math students, Algebra doesn't come easy because
students realize that the success they experienced in early school
math fades as they further their studies. Few students make do with
the classroom section while most need more private and individualized
help while tackling complex Algebra 2 courses. This is the reason
most schools offer basic Algebra and Pre-Algebra before they offer
the Algebra I course. Its really is a progressive process that seems
similar to building a home and this makes it more interesting.
Building success in math
precisely Algebra 2 is like building a home and for a home to stand
firm it's foundation must be laid in a solid manner but if the
foundation of a home is not solid, the walls of the main floors and
upper floors will be weak and may crumble and this works the same way
for development in Algebra 2 as well.
The basic foundations of
math should begin in grade school, because that elementary Algebra 2
student who builds the basic skills to perform mathematical
strategies well also builds the foundation of confidence and great
self-esteem needed for those "upper floors" of Math, like
Algebra 2. I never had an early solid Math foundation. While I cannot
fairly blame the Math teachers I had in basic school, I certainly did
not build the confidence I needed for the more difficult Algebra 2
courses in higher academy and that foundation needs some extra
contributors to make the Math home stable and this is where a tutor
comes in.
Tutoring programs can
assist the student in tackling complex issues with math precisely
more complex courses like Algebra 2 because teachers can't do it all
alone Algebra 2 Tutor can help of this. Good teachers realize their limitations to the individual
mentor ship they could give the student.
Though, tutoring can be the essential helper to Algebra 2 If the
student isn't well guided with the lower levels of the "Maths
house", certainly by the time the student gets to Algebra 2 he
will need the aid of a private tutor. Getting a tutor could mean the
difference between an Algebraic house built on unstable ground and
one built into a mansion.
